2 Alpha Performance Did time slow down… or did my awareness expand? That was the feeling during Stage 1 – “Schwetty” at the Sons of Action Pistol match. Everything felt smooth. Transitions happened naturally. Movement required less conscious thought. Targets seemed to appear at exactly the right time. The timer never slowed down. My awareness expanded. When we stop forcing speed and begin trusting our vision, the brain processes more information in the same amount of time. That increased awareness creates what many people describe as flow state.
