DOWN RANGE TV The Thrilling Days of Yesteryear

| | | | | | | | GROWING UP WITH ADVENTURE By JERRY AHERN Photo By SHARON AHERN I originally wrote what follows here as a sort of introduction to a friend's E-zine. I wanted it to have somewhat greater dissemination, so I reproduce it here...  When I was a little boy, adventurers, cowboys, space rangers and cops were what nearly every young male wanted to be when he "grew up."  I "retro-ed" into some of the classics, getting interested in Doc Savage, The Shadow and Conan because of radio, films and television. As a child, radio, then a small-screen TV fueled my imagination.  My cousin, Jerrel
