FMJ or JHP?

Full Version: FMJ or JHP? I am now reloading for my STI Open gun that I will shoot next season. I plan on loading 124 gr but want to know if it is better to use JHP's or FMJ's. Either more reliable when loading? Can you give me some advice and reasons for each. Many thanks. JHPs are generally swadged from the rear and have an enclosed base which should reduce lead buildup in the comp. Shooting Standard, but I chose JHPs over FMJs because of the enclosed base that prevents lead smoke upon firing. jhp's are usually more accurate, too! lynn If your buying montana go
