Full Version: Open gun recoil spring weights I just bought an Open gun and I wondering what recoil springs people use. I currently have a 9# Wolf variable in mine, no buffs. It's a 9x19 shorty with a Commander slide. I use a 10# variable spring never a shock buff! for my major loads. 6-8# for steel loads depending on PF. Ivan i'm using a 9lb. spring right now with a shok buff. i use to use a 12lb. lynn Recoil master or 9lb right now. Depends on gun and load. 7 for around 15 years Not the same one cy, leave the recoil spring alone. get a replacement 9lb
