Run-n-Gun Rifle shootin'

Singlestack Feb 15 2003, 04:15 AM I know I can shoot a rifle better holding my breath but I'm so used to not thinking about breath control while pistol shooting that I don't think about it while shooting a rifle. Do the "Big Dog" Riflemen hold their breath on field courses while shooting? BillL223 Feb 15 2003, 06:11 PM I'm no "Big Dog", but for close range running and gunning,  breath control is not a factor.  Once the targets get out to about 50-75 yds, I do slow up and maybe hold a breath.  At 100 yds or more I definitely hold a breath and get real careful about trigger
