Wairarapa Pistol And Shooting Sports Club

Founded in 1973, the Wairarapa Pistol & Shooting Sport Club is based in Gladstone, just east of Carterton in the Wairarapa. The facility has 6 main ranges and provides shooting up to 200 meters (& 300m on occasion). We cater for all types of shooters/disciplines and host national competitions and corporate shoots by arrangement.

Pre-booked events can be seen in the calendar but please note that events often don't use all the ranges so open up the event and have a look.

Finish time at any time of the year is 2000 hrs ( 8 pm ) or dusk - whichever comes first! In other words when the days get shorter and it gets dark earlier than 2000 hrs, shooting must cease .

No shooting during the hours of darkness without committee approval and the landlord's consent; e.g. the range has been used with prior approval during the hours of darkness for police training purposes.
