Vale Steel Challenge Club

We were incorporated by the State of Oregon on March 28, 1983. Snake River Sportsmen, Inc. is an IRC 501 (C)(4) non-profit corporation in the State of Oregon. We have two range complexes: The Outdoor Range in Vale, Oregon, and The Ontario Shotgun Complex in Ontario, Oregon.

Our facility spans approximately 480 acres, located just two miles south of Vale, Oregon, off Lytle Blvd. We are equipped to accommodate a wide range of shooting activities, both recreational and competitive.

High-power shooters will find firing and impact berms at every 100-yard interval, ranging from 100 to 1000 yards. (Please note that the 1000-yard firing line is available only with board approval.)

Benchrest shooters can enjoy one of 14 concrete benches, available in both left-hand and right-hand configurations, under a covered firing line. These benches are open to recreational shooters for plinking and sight-in purposes, as well as for monthly 100/200 yard benchrest matches and monthly 600-yard benchrest matches. Additionally, we host silhouette (black powder cartridge rifle) matches with target rails set at 200, 300, 385, and 500 meters.
