DRRC Practical Pistol

Practical Pistol, also commonly referred to as "Action Pistol", is a competitive pistol shooting sport where each participant is graded against their peers in a chosen division. The practical pistol shooting discipline is an excellent way to learn and build both defensive, and competitive pistol shooting skills in a safe, fun and fast paced setting.

SAFETY Safety is our number one focus and concern. Each match will have a Match Director and/or Assistant Match Director, and RSOs who are directly responsible for all safety procedures and concerns. All safety rules must be obeyed, at all times. Failure to follow safety rules may be cause for ejection from the match and continued safety violations may be cause for ban from all matches. Specific safety rules can be discussed by contacting the Discipline Director using the contact information at the bottom of this page.

NEW SHOOTERS The DRRC Practical Pistol match is an excellent match for new or inexperienced shooters starting out. We ask that new shooters contact the Discipline Director using the contact information at the bottom of this page for detailed instructions on their first match.

RULE SET DRRC Practical Pistol uses the most current available revision of USS Leagues; United Pistol League Rules (UPL) as basis for all match rules with the following typical revisions.
