Canadian Rimfire Precision Series

As our sport grows and mature, our participants look to find more opportunities to compete both within Canada and outside our country. To help create a competitive environment that fits into the broader competitive landscape, we have made the decision to align our ruleset with the Precision Rifle Series. This would allow our participants to earn PRS points, allowing them to build points towards earning a slot at the regional and national PRS rimfire events. We have been making small changes to our rules in the past in preparation for this move. For the most part, things related to divisions and categories remain the same with some slight changes. The summary provided is only a subset of the key changes. It is up to the competitor to ensure that they are aware of the PRS Rimfire Rules. We have provided a link to allow you to view and download the latest version.

You do not have to be a member of PRS to participate at CRPS matches. Membership to PRS is optional. The only change to shooting this year versus last year are the new rules and the OPTION to earn PRS points, if desired. A new field to collect your optional PRS membership has been added to the registration forms should you wish us to submit your scores and earn points.

The Canadian Precision Rimfire Series was created to provide shooters across Canada with a safe and challenging environment to develop their shooting skills using .22lr rimfire rifles.

CRPS is a federally registered non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the safe participation of Canadians in the shooting sports. We were founded in 2017 with our first event taking place in April 2018. Since then we've hosted hundreds of matches and welcomed thousands of Canadians at events coast to coast.
